Gameday Ditch: Christian's Stony Brook Picks
In which, we troll Chris Olave and then we make some money, too.
Stony Brook is in town this week, and even Vegas is scared of the Ducks (and of Ditch Rich).
An earlier version of this newsletter incorrectly noted that last week’s over was a winner. It was not. I have corrected Vitale’s record accordingly.
First, let’s recap Christian’s Week Two, shall we? Because she’s a beaut.
Official Picks:
Oregon/Ohio State Total, Over 63.5 - Miss
Oregon +14.5 - Winner
Lean:
Oregon ML - Winner
Season Record: (2-1) + Leans: (4-1)
Now, we’re off too a damn good start, but how will Christian stack up in Week Three with a football game that is confounding bookmakers across the country?
It’s been nearly impossible to track down an official line for the Stony Brook game, but Mr. Vitale and I seem to have sleuthed our way to a set of numbers that sound about as reputable as we’re gonna get:
Line: Oregon -42
Over/Under: 54
Moneyline: N/A
Odds c/o College Football News (definitely not a sponsor) 10 PM pst. 9/17/21.
So, if you can find yourself a book that even offers this game—and you’re in a proper territory that allows any such legal action on college athletics—Christian has your pick for the game right here:
“Don’t mess with a 42 point spread. Just root for points. Take the Over.”
No leans this week. No nonsense. All points.
Can’t say I blame him either. If the Ducks have a good day, they’ll get to 54 points all by themselves.
Enjoy your gameday everyone. Ride with Christian.
Go Ducks.
